Your blog looks great! You’re so good at these things!
Since we grew up in the same household, I feel like I have been transported back in time. The running commentary is exactly like what we experienced around the plethora of aunts, should-have-been aunts, and all of those other wonderful Southern women who nurtured, cooked for us and taught us the art of Southern woman-hood over the years.
The grits look just like mama’s (actually, better, but don’t tell her that). I am sure that they are delicious.
Thanks for letting me know about your blog. I’ll check back often.
Uncle John says hello.

Paula Deen better look out! These are some of the most tempting receipes I have ever seen. So easy!!
You are something ELSE. Don’t know why I am surprised, everything you make is wonderful. Proud, proud of you.

iam a new mom & a newer cook. i have been going through websites to see how much of easy cooking i can come across. your site is one of those sites that i can rely on for easier & fast cooking.. thank you
Thanks so much, Jean! I’m so glad you are enjoying my little recipes. Please do visit again.
I find myself checking daily to see what’s been cooking at Nana and BeeBop’s house. How’s it going? What can we expect next?
Thanks!

Have I told you I’m making a big spiral notebook full of the recipes I love to take to Michigan? I have so many of yours in it that I have printed out. I check everyday to see if there’s something new I can add. LOVE your blog and thanks for plugging mine!
Great! I’m glad you’re finding some things you want to try. I’ll be adding another one or two this week.
I found your blog through Serious Eats and I’m so happy that I came across this! Your blog is going to be added to my favorite food/recipe sites. I also love the photos of your adorable grandkids. It’s a nice reminder of why many of us cook – we feed the ones we love!
Thanks, Elissa. Yes, I’ve always equated food with love. I’ve been lucky to have many, many good cooks in my family cooking for me since I was born. My mother and both my grandmothers, numerous aunts, and would-be aunts, neighbors and assorted others. There’s nothing that says “I love you” like a beautiful homecooked meal.
I see you reference N Georgia in your posts. Im from Marietta originally but grew up in Millen, GA which is a stone’s throw from Statesboro, home of Georgia Southern University.
Nice blog. I found it today via a link on Food Gawker. Ill definitely bookmark your feed. I learned most of my cooking skills from my Grandmother and my Uncle who I swear could cook a door knob and make you love it.
I actually grew up in southwest Georgia. Miller County specifically. I’m in NE Georgia now for my husband’s work, but I get back down home pretty often.
What’s the latest at Nana and BeeBop’s house? Has the heat zapped your cooking energy? Kick up the AC and turn on the stove!!

Lana,
Your website is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait to try out your recipes.

Thanks, Barbara! I’m so glad you like the site and maybe you’ll find something interesting to try here. Bunco was fun! I had a great time being host for this month!
